Melting Shops & Induction Furnaces

Induction furnaces are the highest fume generation point in any foundry. Peak concentrations occur during charging and skimming — the extraction system must be sized for these instantaneous peak loads.

  • Continuous extraction across all phases: charging, melting, skimming and pouring
  • Hydraulic furnace hood integration, developed in coordination with OEM furnace manufacturers

Bomaksan works directly with OEM furnace manufacturers to design the extraction system as an integrated part of the existing equipment — not a retrofit. PKFC Series and PLTF Series high-capacity central filters are sized specifically to each furnace type and operating cycle.

Liquid metal pouring releases intense bursts of heavy metal aerosols and combustion gases over a short period. The extraction system must be sized for these peak emission events.

Sand Reclamation & Shakeout

Shakeout and mechanical sand reclamation release RCS — one of the most hazardous industrial dusts with no safe exposure threshold. Residual dust in reclaimed sand degrades binder quality and increases casting defect rates.

  • RCS dust captured at source — before reaching the breathing zone
  • Cleaner sand improves resin bonding quality and reduces additive consumption

Grinding, Shot Blasting & Surface Treatment

Grinding and shot blasting produce a continuous, high-volume stream of metallic dust. This dust re-settles on finished casting surfaces, directly compromising surface quality.

  • Downdraft Tables for small casting grinding — dust captured at source, directly beneath the workpiece
  • Extraction Arms where flexible positioning is required
  • Compact central filters for large castings and cell-based installations
  • Solutions for both robotic and manual grinding applications

LINE Series and ECOG Series compact filters maintain filtration efficiency while grinding continues uninterrupted, thanks to automatic jet-pulse self-cleaning. Plug-and-play installation.

Machining & CNC Operations

CNC machining generates fine oil mist and coolant aerosols that cannot be effectively controlled through general ventilation alone. These particles coat machine internals, contaminate finished surfaces and create a cumulative respiratory hazard.

  • Sub-20 micron droplet capture via multi-stage high-efficiency filtration
  • Machine-mounted unit or central system — selected to suit the facility layout
  • No external exhaust ducting required — clean air returned directly to the workshop
  • Captured oil collected for proper disposal

YBFpro Series and DT.YBF Series oil mist filter units are developed for CNC turning, milling and drilling operations on cast components. Scalable from individual machine cells to multi-machine central systems.
