A Grinding Booth with an Enclosed Working Volume
The Bomaksan grinding booth is a dust control solution that encloses the working volume with two independent booth volumes side by side, strip curtains on the front face and a skylight structure on top. Dust generated during grinding and similar surface treatment operations is contained inside the enclosed volume and directed to the extraction system without spreading into the rest of the plant.
The transparent strip curtains on the front allow workpiece loading and operator movement while separating the working volume from the facility. The skylight on top provides a bright working environment inside the booth; the extraction grilles and duct connection are also arranged in the top section.
Booth dimensions, the number of stations and the internal layout are engineered around your workpiece and production flow. The extraction line is completed by connecting it to a suitable filtration unit — such as the PKF cartridge filter unit. For parts that can be processed on a bench, the BTM downdraft grinding table is an alternative worth considering.
How the System Works
- Work inside an enclosed volume: Grinding is performed inside the booth volume surrounded by strip curtains; dust and particles do not spread outside the working area.
- Top extraction: Dust-laden air is collected through the extraction grilles in the top section of the booth; the air requirement is calculated from the booth volume and process load.
- Duct transport to filtration: The extraction duct carries dust-laden air to the central filtration unit; duct routing and pressure loss are defined per project.
- A clean working environment: Filtered air is removed from the system; thanks to the enclosed volume, the rest of the plant stays clean.
